Wip Map

Wip Map is a collaborative video game and a tool for collective, real-time cartographic exploration.
After being invited to work with traditional maps and draw on them, participants are equipped with joystick-tablets and explore a blank fictional map together, discovering generated terrain, vegetation, and biomes.
In addition to moving their characters, the tablets allow users to add human landmarks, build dwellings, and plant trees, gradually populating this emerging world.
The project has also been adapted into a web application that enables the instant generation of visually complex graphical maps.
