Dynamic typesetting

In collaboration with Alice Savoie and Studio Plastac, as part of the competition to redesign the Théâtre du Châtelet’s visual identity, we developed a tool for graphic designers that enables the creation of posters by adjusting type layout around imported graphic elements.

Building on Alice Savoie’s typographic work, we developed a custom typographic rendering engine that allows characters to be dynamically deformed according to their neighbouring elements, while preserving their visual integrity.

Alongside various dynamic and interactive graphic experiments, a composition tool was created, offering designers a new paradigm for typesetting and poster design.
