The Cinémathèque idéale des Banlieues du Monde is a project led by Ateliers Médicis and Centre Pompidou, based on an original idea by Alice Diop and supported by the CNC.

Its platform allows users to explore a catalogue of films from suburban areas, highlighting the richness and diversity of cinematic approaches often grouped under the catch-all term “suburban films.”
