Macrobiomes

Inspired by the Microbiomes micro-laboratory, Macrobiomes invites the public to take part in the creation of an immersive, luminous, living ecosystem, and to observe its evolution as it responds to interactions between the various microorganisms that compose it.

Two interactive kiosks allow visitors to create new organisms based on a predefined classification (microbe, fungus, virus). These organisms are then introduced into the macro-biome, where they interact with others according to principles of stigmergy, generating vibrant, ever-evolving luminous landscapes.

Over the course of the experience, a classification table is progressively built, displaying all the microorganisms created.
