EnedisLab
Interfacing Power Grid
The Enedis Lab explores issues related to the management and operation of tomorrow’s distribution grid, including the integration of decentralized renewable energy and the development of electric mobility.
As part of this research, Machines is developing a web interface that enables real-time visualization of the status of an entire power grid, as well as control of the HV–LV switchgear located within the laboratory, in order to simulate power surges using live current.
The application is built using a custom SVG rendering engine that combines raster images with SVG elements. Network data configurations and visual settings are generated by technicians using the open-source software Tiled.
