As part of the Terre & Briques 2025 ceramics festival in Lille (France), Machines and studio_weg have created an artwork at the intersection of ceramics and digital art.
Part installation, part performance, the experimental exhibition Exopolis invites visitors to explore a unique, poetic universe. It immerses them in a fictional narrative, offering a fresh perspective on our relationship with matter.
“Following the return of the EXO44 scientific mission from the terrestrial planet DQ-219134-KR, samples distributed across 56 countries for in-depth study have now been analyzed. A French scientific team from the National Institute for Space Research has recently developed three devices capable of detecting waves beyond the visible spectrum. Unveiled to the public for the first time, this major technological breakthrough reveals that these alien fragments are inhabited… unless it is the planet itself that functions as a superorganism.”
