Confronting Authoritarian Liberalism in the World of Books

As part of the “Désarmons Bolloré” campaign, Déborder Bolloré is a multi-format publication co-published by more than one hundred independent publishers. It is available for purchase in bookstores and freely distributed online in web, EPUB, and PDF formats. The website was developed to provide free access to these various formats, making the collection’s contributions accessible to all.

Several approaches were also developed to shape the visual identity of Déborder Bolloré.

First, a typeface, the Aalter, was specifically designed for the project, creating visual consistency across its different outputs.

Second, a tool to generate communication materials was created to support event organizers.

Third, the JavaScript library fourmis-js was developed to generate the ants layouts, echoing the visual system used in the book.
