Machines is at the intersection of art, design, and technology.
We are makers of visual, interactive and narrative systems. We build our own tools, pushing the boundaries of known creativity.
We are specialised in art direction, digital creation, and in development of generative systems.

Manifesto
Our approach is systemic, algorithmic, procedural, generative. Our design process is an ongoing search for new methods and processes of creation.
We want tools to become as important as the artwork itself. We want them to be lean, joyful, accessible, tailored to specific ideas and concepts. Tools that enable creativity, rather than restraining it.
We also believe that tools should be a vector of emancipation rather than alienation, and that everyone should be able to create their own.
We take pride in cultivating a wide range of skills, from woodworking to web development. Skills that serve the construction of complex systems from which new shapes and ideas can emerge.
Our studio
Machines is a cooperative company based in France between Paris and Lille.
After 8 years of working together at chevalvert studio, Arnaud Juracek and Stéphane Buellet launched Machines in 2025.
We design and create :
visual identities and motion design
generative visual systems
websites, from simple portfolios to large intranets and management systems
tools and custom-made applications, on screen but also with tangible interfaces
multi-sensory and interactive art installations
